Teach me how to fish

When in need of urgent help, we very well appreciate the immediate financial assistance we can get. But is that really the help we need?

Using the example of the cripple beside the beautiful gate, I imagined him sitting there for many years and watching the people who came by and gave him ‘stipend’ get better as the years went by because they were being taught to 'fish' inside the temple and put in the position of strength; but would you blame them? He did not ask right. It took someone who knew better to change his story forever.

Dear club owners,

It is with great disappointment but a heart full of pride for being a woman that I write you this letter. A couple of weeks ago my female friends and I went out alone and the bouncers wouldn’t let us in. 

I’m sure I speak for every lady out there who may have experienced the same treatment at one point and we all want answers…Can’t ladies go out alone to have fun??? To think that we even make the scene more colourful, despite how good the Dj is or how cheap the booze is.

I hope my letter gets to you in time because later tonight some young ladies might experience the same fate.

Friday means different things to different people. For some, it is a time for much desired rest while others want to use the opportunity to dust off their dancing shoes and channel their inner party spirit. So I had been thinking of how to address my readers and I got an idea I’d like to share. I came up with citizens because of the ‘towns’*big grin* and then I realised that citizens of towns/countries have languages peculiar to them so for us here, this is one-

It begins with a bow…

I think normally the bow comes after the performance, but I don’t do ‘normal’, that is why I know you will enjoy reading my blog. Hmmm, I like the sound of that “my blog”*smiles* I’m so excited because after years of procrastinating it has finally become a reality. 

Ok so back to the bow, it is for everyone who has given/will make out some time to check out my blog; your views and comments will keep my fire burning and I promise not to bore you.
